Rayleigh Instruments relationship with AquAid has also allowed us to help those less fortunate than ourselves as, with each purchase from them, an automatic donation is made to the Africa Trust.
The funds donated to the Africa Trust are used to build ‘Elephant Pumps’, which are a modified version of an age-old Chinese rope pulley system. One such pump is currently being installed in Africa on our behalf and it will be a much-needed source of clean and fresh drinking water for many.
Our organisation’s name will be proudly displayed on our well and we look forward to posting photos of the villagers using the new well on our website soon.
AquAid has built more than 8,000 Elephant Pumps across many parts of Malawi, Mozambique, Liberia and Zimbabwe; and have donated more than £16 million to charity and we wish them every success with all their aid projects.
